Low Vision Services
Dr. Scott Gartner has been specializing in low vision for the past 40 years. He has been the Director of Low Vision Services at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for over 20 years. He also was on the staff at Nova University instructing third- and fourth-year students on low vision and adjunct faculty members for various other Optometric programs.
He is a low vision consultant and performs low vision evaluations at the Lighthouse of Miami, Palm Beach and Naples where he works with Occupational Therapists, Certified Rehabilitation Instructors, Orientation and Mobility Instructors to help the visually impaired patient be maximize the vision they have remaining and be more independent in their community and home environments.
He has published numerous articles on low vision and also has lectured throughout the country on low vision topics. He is currently the director of low vision solutions and a low vision consultant to Lighthouse for the Blind of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, FL.
