Lighthouse for the Blind's Children’s Programs provide instruction and activities to help our young clients prepare for their futures. This includes summer camp and year-round activities, community exploration, mobility skills, independent living skills, technology training and career exploration.  Activities are incorporated into fun camps and activities throughout the year.

Year-Round Programs and Summer Camp

These programs provide quality services for children in kindergarten through age 13 who are blind or visually impaired residing in our five-county area (Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties). The program provides instruction and activities to help our young participants prepare for their future. Activities are incorporated into fun events and field trips throughout the year, which address community exploration, mobility skills, independent living skills, technology training, career exploration and much more!

The Lighthouse staff facilitate relevant, age appropriate activities for the participants. The goal is for youth to enjoy themselves while learning skills to enhance their independence in many areas.

The children build friendships that last a lifetime!

Other Children's Services:

When families connect to the services at the Lighthouse for the Blind, they are establishing a relationship that will provide services and supports for their child through adulthood, thus resulting in a seamless continuum of services that are critical to the support, development, and enrichment of the individual through all stages of life.
